Diddy is a genius! How do you follow up the fine quality entertainment dysfunctional family we knew as D-A B-A-N-D!?!? You have a new season of Making the Band featuring all hot and talented girls! Brilliant!!! I’m not being bias when I say that Aubrey was the most consistent and talented (not to mention hottest). Now that they’re back to filming we wish the best for Aubrey but before she left we got a chance to do a Bastardly Interview with her! Now don’t be fooled by any of those fake Myspace, Livejournal, etc pages claiming to be her. We got the scoop straight from the source and take note that if you want to get the realest info about her be sure to check out her official website!

When did you first realize, “Damn, I CAN SING…and DANCE…and I’M HOT!?

Hahahaha, Wow…quite the compliment. I have been performing since I was 4. My youth consisted of nothing but production after production… (Musical Theatre) and I got a lot of positive feedback so I realized I could sing and dance at a very young age. Regarding the whole HOT thing… I am still trying to realize (I am such a nerd).

So what are you doing nowadays since auditions are occurring again? Do you currently have a boyfriend or is that impossible with your crazy schedule?

No boyfriend. My schedule doesn’t allow me time. I’ve received some proposals…but if the right guy comes along, why not!

Why did you choose to audition for Making the Band 3? You must have seen what happened to “Da Band?. Why not American Idol or The Road to Fame with Missy Elliott?

I have always had respect for Diddy’s involvement in the music industry, and knew this audition was meant for me after being exposed to ‘Diddy beyond the music’. I feel like he exemplifies a person with enough drive and perseverance to illicit change in numerous aspects of life around the world (ie: politics, local and international philanthropic work, fashion, etc.). He is taking ‘fame,’ something that is never a constant… and has made it more than a self-fulfilling act. I have respect for anyone that thinks outside of the bubble, and I feel that his actions have shown that to be the case. If this is not the case, well then damn… I should have hit up those other auditions!

I’ve read websites that compare you to Christina Aguilera (and they’re not referring to the period where Xtina was being Dirrty). Who do you consider your role model in the music industry?

I like many different people for many different reasons. U2 and Dave Mathews Band take chances with their music, represent a number of cultures and ideas with their sound, perform for their pure love of music, and have done nothing but try and aid others around the world, through …www.data.org, etc. I love any musician that thinks outside of the box, takes chances, and isn’t afraid of who they are and the decisions they make (and trust me that is harder than it sounds)!

Out of the final group I thought that you, Aundrea, Martii, and Francesca would’ve made a great group. Am I being bias since I thought you 4 were the hottest? Tell me you 4 wouldn’t sell millions of records?!?!?

I believe there was star quality in each woman left in the final seven. I love all the girls and think there are a few different combos that could have sold a lot of records.

Referencing the “typical boy band formula?, which would you be in a 5 girl group; the cute one, the shy one, the heart throb, the bad girl, or the responsible older sister?

I am all of those things… except maybe the shy one… I am definitely NOT shy! Can I be the one that is always trying to change the world? I like that.

There was one time where after the intense dancing cuts that Diddy asked if “you had any black in you?? and at Café Wha where he proclaimed, “Aubrey is now black?. So where does all this soulful ghetto booty-shaking come from?

I think my grandmother. She may look like the classic conservative house marm, but when the house clears I swear she bumps 50’s Candy Shop!

Comparing you to the others, who do you think was a better vocalist? A better dancer? Or even better looking? No need to be modest here, we love honesty! So by all means, proclaim yourself the total package if you like!

I don’t like questions like these. I don’t believe people are better than people… Just different. But I will say, Te AMO Franchy!
